How do you give a viral TikTok trend its own brand identity?THE CREATIVE SOLUTION
When professional chef and content creator Ali Hooke came up with the idea of Tin Fish Date Night (a low effort, high flavor date night at home, featuring a tasting board of gourmet tinned seafood and accoutrements), it quickly had the foodies of TikTok in a chokehold.
But how do you own an idea and make it last when you're moving at the speed of social? We've seen it before: an influencer has a brilliant, culture-shifting concept, and before they can so much as claim it as their own, the internet has whisked it away into an anonymous ubiquity before they ever had a chance to capitalize.
Enter: The Tin Fish Date Night Box.
Since part of the allure of the tin fish date night trend is the often-untapped market of canned seafood, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to add a little guidance to the mix.
With her background as a professional chef, Ali put together a limited edition box, complete with a collection of unique, high quality seafood tins, and a curated pairing menu. The perfect roadmap for tin fish fans and the uninitiated alike.INITIAL DESIGN EXPLORATION

Drawing inspiration from her amazing mid century home featured in all of her content, we decided to go in a design direction that felt a little atomic retro, while keeping things feeling friendly and accessible, too.
For the holiday edition of the box, we switched to a more festive, winter color palette, and added a celebratory star pattern on the box interior.ORIGINAL BOX
